About the role

VPG are seeking both a qualified plasterer and an apprentice (ideally 3rd or 4th year) to join our small expanding team. We are looking for someone who has a high work ethic and is confident & competent to carry out work in all aspects of the trade. You are required to be a team player and willing to learn new ways and parts of the trade. You will be a part of a positive and easy-going work culture.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Lining all types of Plasterboard

Excellent trowel skills by hand (automatic tool skills an advantage)

Laser levelled battens

Suspended ceilings (other metal work skills an advantage)

Sanding

Cornice work (ornate skills an advantage)

Reading plans

Skills & Experience

As an Apprentice Plasterer, you will have little exposure and understanding to the construction industry. You will have a positive can-do attitude with the hunger to learn and grow.

As a Qualified Plasterer, you will have a Trade Certificate preferred with a minimum of 4 years’ experience. The successful incumbent will have great management skills with a high attention to detail.

Necessary Plastering tools to complete the required work

Willing to learn new ways to complete parts of the trade
