Join Our Team as a Stock Manager in Paddington, Sydney

Are you a passionate retail leader who excels at building teams and creating exceptional customer experiences? We're looking for a dynamic and inspiring Assistant Store Manager to support our Paddington Boutique operations. In this pivotal leadership role, you'll drive team performance, cultivate memorable customer journeys, and ensure our boutique delivers the premium service experience that defines the Henne brand.

This is a full-time, permanent role based out of our Paddington Boutique with flexible scheduling to support peak trading periods including weekends and evenings.

Purpose of the Role:

The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for supporting all aspects of boutique operations with a primary focus on team development and customer experience excellence. Working closely with the Store Manager, you'll lead by example in coaching team members, driving sales performance, and ensuring every customer interaction reflects Henne's commitment to exceptional service and style curation.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, coach, and inspire the boutique team to deliver outstanding customer service and achieve sales targets

Conduct regular one-on-one coaching sessions and performance reviews with team members

Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members

Foster a positive, collaborative team environment that embodies Henne's values

Drive exceptional customer service standards and personalized styling experiences

Lead by example in building customer relationships and driving repeat business

Oversee clientele activities and VIP customer programs

Handle complex customer inquiries and resolve issues with professionalism and care

Support the Store Manager in achieving sales targets and KPI objectives

Analyze sales data and customer trends to identify opportunities for growth

Execute visual merchandising standards and seasonal product launches

Coordinate promotional activities and special events

Ensure boutique presentation standards meet Henne's premium brand expectations

Support daily operations including opening/closing procedures and cash handling

Maintain compliance with WHS standards and company policies

Collaborate with Stock Team, Store Manager and Retail Manager on inventory and operational matters

Provide regular reporting on team performance, customer feedback, and sales metrics

What are we looking for?

Minimum 3 years' experience in retail management or senior sales roles, preferably in fashion or luxury retail

Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing retail teams

Exceptional customer service skills with experience in personal styling or consultative selling

Strong commercial acumen with ability to drive sales and meet targets

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills across all customer demographics

Passion for fashion and ability to translate trends into customer recommendations

Flexibility to work varied hours including weekends, evenings, and peak periods

Proficiency in retail systems, POS, and Microsoft Office Suite

Natural problem-solver with a solutions-focused mindset

Commitment to maintaining high visual and operational standards
