About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Educator to join our vibrant and close team at the Ivanhoe Children's Community Co-operative LTD, located in Ivanhoe VIC 3079. As a part-time Educator, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and learning experiences for children in our early childhood education centre.

What you'll be doing

Implementing engaging and developmentally appropriate educational programs that support the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of children

Fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment that encourages children's creativity, curiosity, and self-expression

Observing and documenting children's progress, and using this information to plan and adapt activities to meet their individual needs

Collaborating with parents and caregivers to ensure a consistent and supportive approach to each child's learning and wellbeing

Maintaining a safe and clean learning environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations

Participating in team meetings, training, and professional development opportunities to continually enhance your skills and knowledge

What we're looking for

Minimum qualification of a Certificate 3 in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent

Demonstrated experience working as an Educator in an early childhood education setting

Strong understanding of child development and the ability to create engaging, play-based learning experiences

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues

Passion for supporting the holistic development of young children and a commitment to inclusive, high-quality care

Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Emergency Asthma Management certifications (or willingness to obtain)

Working with Children Check and National Police Check

Mandatory Reporting certificate
