Please note this is a Full-time maximum term contract role to June 30th, 2026, offering 76 hours per fortnight, based out of Mt Isa with regular travel required.

Have you ever wanted to explore the rural and remote outback of QLD? Would you love to visit children and families on stations, in communities, learn about rural life, and work with stakeholders who are committed to supporting families and children to reach their best outcomes?
This position includes;
Supporting early childhood development, parenting resilience and mobile services to communities
Develop and implement programs to strengthen family relationships, implement early intervention and prevention activities
Enhance and support increased First Nations/ Multicultural community participation and family functioning.
Providing information, advice and referral pathways
Increase awareness of children’s wellbeing and have a holistic approach to supporting early childhood education in alignment with family and child support to nurture children to be fully prepared for learning and life
Understanding the role is predominantly delivered in remote locations and resulting in approximately 60% of work hours spent travelling and overnighting in communities
By joining our team and you will be working alongside fellow RAFS workers located in Longreach, Mount Isa, Emerald, Mareeba and Charleville
What makes a difference for us?
You will be a highly motivated and energetic person who has demonstrated experience working with young children and their development, supporting families and communities
Tertiary Qualification or working towards Diploma or higher Children’s services /Counselling/Community Services or similar, or be willing to study
A current Queensland driver’s license
Blue card
