About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Part-Time Sales Assistant to join our team primarily working at Use-Ta! in Brunswick, VIC. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering an exceptional customer experience and contributing to the success of our retail store. This is a four-day-per-week part-time position, working Wednesday through Saturday.

What you'll be doing:

Providing bubbly, friendly and engaging customer service.

Suggesting items that suit customer needs, to sustain our sales targets.

Operating our POS system.

Fulfilling online orders.

Managing queries from customers and consignors.

Stock processing, inventory tagging.

Visual merchandising.

Uploading items to our website.

Posting daily on our social media channels.

Light cleaning.

Settling the till at the end of the day.

What we're looking for:

Previous customer service or retail experience, preferably in a sales role.

An interest in sustainability, fashion and the circular economy.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers, including parents and children.

A desire to build community.

Ability to work well in a team, as well as solo.

Attention to detail in every area.

Reliability, punctuality and organisational skills.

Familiarity with Shopify, Instagram and various POS and EFTPOS platforms, or an aptitude to learn.
