About the role

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Full Time OR Part Time Sales Assistant to join our valued family-owned Bedshed Northland franchise. Passionate about customer service, we are looking for a conscientious team member who can contribute to the overall success of the store.

In this role you will be determining customer’s needs and managing their expectations through high quality service and expert product knowledge. This involves listening closely and understanding their questions, sourcing appropriate stock (in store or via delivery) and closing the point of sale with a satisfied customer.

You will also work on maintaining store presentation, including updating, rotating and ticketing stock, to ensure ease of access for customers and optimum sales at all times.

About you

Friendly, patient and approachable, you are a known as a cooperative team player. You thrive in harmonious environments where you can work closely with others to build and maintain positive relationships.

With a great eye for detail, you ensure all aspects of the sale are handled quickly, correctly and efficiently. You are quick to absorb new information and you work consistently to achieve your goals.

Most importantly, you have a great attitude and a willingness to learn.

New to bedding and furniture? Don't worry, we will teach you everything you need to succeed!

Have sales experience but have been out of the work force for a little while, this is perfect for you too!

What else

Ideally we are looking for someone 3 - 5 days per week, both midweek and weekends, with days and hours flexible to suit the right person. Flexibility to work the occasional extra day, weekend or public holiday would be beneficial (and suitably compensated)
