Embracia Childcare and Kindergarten are excited to welcome an experienced, motivated, and enthusiastic Area Manager to support our established Childcare Centre in Kyneton and our new Intergenerational Early Learning Centre opening in October in Avondale Heights, co-located within our existing Aged Care home. Yes, our new ELC will be integrated with aged care (nursing home), reflecting our commitment to intergenerational connection. This exciting opportunity could be the next progression for a strong, capable, experienced and successful Centre Director looking to advance into a broader leadership role. We are seeking an Area Manager to support our current Centre Director in leading our amazing team of Educators and inspiring children, while also playing a key role in commissioning a brand-new team and service over the next six months at our upcoming Avondale Heights location. The successful Area Manager will also assist in selecting a new Centre Director for this new service, due to open in October 2025.

We are looking for a dynamic individual with proven leadership skills and strong knowledge in childcare quality and compliance to oversee and promote two innovative Childcare Services. We are also open to discussion about the KPI structure, ensuring it supports both organisational goals and individual leadership growth.

Focused on nature and play-based learning, our services offer care and education for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years. Our existing service opened late 2023 and was purpose built and we have a new ELC under construction at our French Provincial Aged Care home. The Area Manager will work across both sites but will be based at Avondale Heights. The Area Manager is expected to travel between both locations and share their experience and support to both teams. The most exciting part about this role is that we will be offering INTERGENERATIONAL KINDER from late 2025 at Avondale Heights and by late 2026-early 2027 we hope to open our new Aged Care home in Kyneton, right next to our Childcare and Kindergarten.

What you will bring to the Role:

Diploma or Bachelor of Early Childhood education and care or equivalent.

Competence in adhering to the National Education and Care Regulations 2011

Knowledge in administering and implementing the National Quality Framework- National Quality Standards and EYLF and VEYLDF

Proven ability to lead, guide, support, mentor and supervise a team

Highly developed written and verbal communication skills

Sound understanding and knowledge of child development

Sound understanding and experience in implementing Health and Safety Principles

Current Anaphylaxis Training and Emergency Asthma Management

Current First Aid and CPR

Current Working with Children Check and Police Check

Food Safety Training- ‘Follow basic food safety practices’ and ‘Food Safety Supervisor’ (desirable)

Driver's license.
