📍 Location: headspace Mount Druitt (with potential to work across Parramatta or Penrith)
🕒 Employment Type: Permanent Part-Time (3 days per week)
💰 Pay Rate: $32.87 per hour + Super + Generous salary packaging up to $18,550, plus access to rewards and wellbeing programs

The Role

As a Lived Experience Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting young people through a non-clinical, peer-based approach. Drawing from your own lived experience, you will provide hope, guidance, and encouragement in both one-on-one and group settings. Your focus will be on advocacy, engagement, and supporting recovery in a youth-friendly and inclusive environment.

What You'll Bring

  • Personal lived experience of mental health recovery and engagement in an Early Psychosis service.
  • Drivers Licence (desirable)
  • Comprehensive understanding of the recovery process and ability to appropriately communicate a lived experience
  • Demonstrated ability to establish relationships and maintain appropriate boundaries with consumers
  • Working towards Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work or a willingness to obtain ( Placement can be done with Uniting, supervised by Team Leader)


About You

  • To be considered for this position you must have been in the headspace Early Psychosis program or an equivalent program that you have now exited or been discharged from for a minimum of 4 weeks.
  • Eligibility is limited to individuals aged 18 to 30 years
  • To be eligible for the role you will need to address the above criteria in your cover letter.
