Wedgetail Academy is part of Wedgetail Aerospace, a leading RPAS service provider, focused on the provision of large and long-range RPAS (drone) data acquisition and air freight. Wedgetail Academy provides quality RPAS training to customers who seek to achieve the highest quality outcomes from their RPAS operations. Wedgetail Academy's training will have real world insights and applications informed by the learnings of the RPAS operations conducted by Wedgetail Aerospace.

Qualifications & experience

• CASA RePL
• Aeronautical Radio Operator certificate (AROC) or equivalent
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Australian civil aviation legislation, regulations, policies and procedures
• Prior training experience
• At least 20 hours of multirotor commercial non training operations under a ReOC.
• Ability to pass aviation, site-specific medicals and manual handling requirements.
• Current drivers license.
• Right to work in Australia.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Use of online Learning Management System (LMS) to deliver theory training
• Exam invigilation, grading and assessing
• Assessment of weather, ground risk and airspace considerations for RPAS operations
• Compliance with company policies, procedures and RPAS Operations Manual.
• Safe operation of small and medium RPAS in accordance with procedures.
• Aviation radio communications with other airspace users and ATC as required
• Deployment to remote areas including mine sites in support of RPAS training
• Accurate completion and submission of operational and training documentation
• Providing student assistance where necessary to deliver safe and desired outcomes
