National Operations Manager – Water

You are a strategic thinker who knows how to pick the right projects. You can confidently build a winning bid, structure a detailed delivery program, and lead large-scale water infrastructure projects from end to end.

This principle contractor is looking for a National Operations Manager to take the helm of water infrastructure delivery across a growing portfolio. This role isn’t for someone who simply wants to maintain the status quo — they’re after a leader who can shape the future of operations while working alongside one of the best Construction Managers in the industry.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Leading the operational delivery of complex water infrastructure projects — including pipelines, pump stations, water treatment plants (WTPs), wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs), and sewage treatment plants (STPs).
• Managing project lifecycles from pre-contract phase through to delivery, typically valued between $5 million and $75 million.
• Making smart commercial decisions — distinguishing viable projects from the rest, creating competitive tenders, and managing procurement strategies with confidence.
• Collaborating with a high-performing construction team to continuously improve systems, processes, and delivery outcomes.
• Influencing internal and external stakeholders through a blend of technical expertise and natural leadership.

Who You Are:

• An experienced operations or Senior Project Manager in the water infrastructure space, with a proven track record across multi-million-dollar projects.
• Skilled in programming, costing, procurement, and site logistics — you see the whole picture and know how to keep things moving.
• Respected by peers, clients, and subcontractors alike — your leadership style earns trust, loyalty, and performance.
