The site and FIFO

This UG hard rock mine is located in N.QLD, in the Mt Isa region.

• Attractive, modern camp set up with good facilities (gym, wet mess etc)

• The camp is close to the mine, so limited travel in and out

• A high standard of food and quality canteen

• 2:2 roster where you'll fly in on company time and out on your time

The role and duties

You will enjoy working in a team of specialist tradespeople working on a wide range of UG mining equipment in the workshop and the field. Your duties will include;-

• 90% surface workshop maintenance duties

• Including problem solving, diagnostics, servicing, general repairs

• 10% field service breakdowns

• Including breakdowns, fault finding, diagnostics

• Machinery - drills, boggers, trucks, charge up equipment, IT's

Roster & hours

• 7 day shifts, 7 night shifts, 14 off - 12 hour shifts

• Fly to site on the morning of day 1, fly home after night shift on shift 14

• FIFO from Brisbane, Townsville, Cairns (fly in on company time, fly home one yours)

Your value

You will have come working as an Diesel Mechanic in a heavy industry sector and have a desire to forward your skills and experience in the UG mining industry. Other attributes will include; -

• Trade qualifications in automotive or heavy diesel

• Open cut or UG mining experience (highly regarded, not essential)

• Diesel machinery maintenance experience (heavy vehicles, civil, AG or mining)

• Ability to work in the field and workshop

• Team player and a great attitude towards work
