The Team:
Digital Health: The Bluegum Digital Health Transformation Program team is responsible for delivering the Digital Health Transformation Strategy, a 10-year program of work that aims to transform the state’s health system into a world-class, innovative and integrated system designed to empower consumers and enable healthcare professionals to deliver better patient outcomes through system-wide, digitally enabled technologies.
The Bluegum Digital Health Transformation Program, including the implementation of the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, is essential for efficient delivery of frontline health services into the future. The program aims to significantly enhance healthcare for all people in Tasmania by creating a more connected and accessible health system, ensuring that all Tasmanians receive the care they need, in the right place, at the right time, ultimately improving health outcomes across the state.

The Role:
The Senior Change Manager is a key driver of the Bluegum Digital Health Transformation Program, leading program-wide change initiatives and providing expert strategic direction. Working closely with project sponsors, clinical leaders, business units, and Tasmanian State Service Agencies, the role ensures the delivery of critical milestones through strategic engagement, clear communication, and strong stakeholder alignment.
With a focus on outcomes and lasting impact, the Senior Change Manager leads the design and execution of change strategies, applying structured methodologies to align with program goals and embed sustainable transformation. The role identifies high-value activities, mitigates risk, and delivers strategic insights that shape the future of digital health in Tasmania.
You will need:
- Expertise and experience in planning and managing strategically aligned organisational change, in the context of a large digital transformation program.
- Leadership skills within a project management environment to problem solve and deliver high quality tasks and outcomes that are both timely and compliant.
- High-level judgement, intelligence, and innovative thinking with professionalism, integrity, resilience, and self-awareness.
- High level research, analytical and conceptual skills with an ability to develop change management capability across an organisation and impact the successful implementation of business change.

Details of appointment:
Multiple permanent full time, day workers, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary:
$139,470 to $148,863 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
