Kalkoup Clinics is seeking a compassionate and capable High Needs Support Worker to join our growing team. This is a deeply rewarding opportunity to support children with complex medical needs in their homes, helping them live safer, fuller lives surrounded by their families.
You'll be delivering specialised, hands-on support tailored to each child’s care plan including assistance with tracheostomy care, seizure response, enteral feeding, and other high-intensity daily supports. About Kalkoup Clinics:
Based in Osborne Park, Kalkoup Clinics is a nurse-led organisation providing holistic, compassionate care to children and young adults with complex medical needs. Our services include in-clinic appointments, in-home nursing, NDIS assessments, care planning, and family education. We are proud to make a real, lasting impact in the lives of our clients and the people who care for them.
What you’ll be doing:
You will be working closely with children and their families to provide safe, specialised care tailored to each child’s individual plan, including:
· Tracheostomy care and respiratory support
· Seizure response and emergency protocol follow-through
· Enteral (PEG) feeding and oral feeding support
· Wound care and personal care assistance
· Supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
· Community access and in-home developmental support
· Monitoring oxygen levels and general wellbeing
· Documentation and communication with the broader care team
Shifts Available:
We are currently hiring for the following support arrangements (both based in Perth North)
Child 1 – Tracheostomy Care:
· Weekday afternoons (Tues/Thurs) and one Friday/month: 1:00pm–5:00pm
· Weekend day shifts with potential for extended hours for the right person
Child 2 – ASD & Complex Needs:
· Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 6:00am–9:00am and 2:00pm–6:30pm
· Saturday: 9:00am–1:00pm
Who we are looking for:
Essential:
· Experience supporting children or young adults with complex care needs.
· Familiarity with tracheostomy care, PEG feeding, seizure response, and oxygen support (training can be provided).
· Current First Aid and CPR certification (HLTAID011).
· NDIS Workers Screening
· National Police Clearance and WA Working with Children Check.
· Valid WA Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle.
· Confidence to work independently while staying connected with the care team.
