About the opportunity:
Position: Registered Nurse
Vacancy: Permanent part-time, 48 hours per fortnight
Location: Townsville Community Health Service
About the role:
Townsville Community Health Service (TCHS) provides a range of coordinated options for clients within the local Townsville University Hospital catchment, which include:
- Post-acute care (after hospital care service)
- Short-term, goal orientated therapy or group-based hospital avoidance interventions
- Service Coordination
The purpose of the Community Health Registered Nurse position – TCHS is to provide direct nursing care utilising clinical skills, education and support to patients and nursing staff, to ensure the delivery of best practice and quality patient care. Activities include, but are not limited to, supporting central intake, post-acute and hospital avoidance services, implementing plans of care, general clinic duties and assisting with wound care.
Enjoy a generous remuneration package value up to $76,714 p.a. comprising:
- Salary range: $41.73 to $53.53 p.h. (NG5)
- Annual leave with 17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

Requirements:
- Mandatory qualifications (Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification) and proof of registration (AHPRA).
- Possession of class C drivers' licence.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
- Probation period may apply.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted including criminal history clearance.
