About the role:

Average 3 to 4 shifts per week, alternating weekends with a second driver.

The day starts at Burswood very early in the morning, so it's only suitable if you live close to this location. At this time of the year, the drive up starts at 03:00 am, but in October it will be 02:00 am (we follow the Sun), so candidates should be comfortable with early starts and be extremely reliable.

Begin your shift in Perth, where you'll pick up a company-provided shuttle bus, meet the passengers near Crown Casino, Burswood.

Greet passengers, complete check-ins, and ensure their safety and comfort.

Drive to Northam for 1 hour and 15 minutes to meet the flight crew and additional passengers.

In Northam, you will be driving a minibus or a 4x4 MANUAL vehicle towing a trailer

Assist with balloon inflation, deflation, and all ground operations.

Keep equipment and vehicles clean and organised.

After the flight, you will drive passengers back to Burswood and leave the vehicle in the same location.

Light Rigid License or above is essential

Receive full training and support to assist the flight crew on workdays.

After the flight, safely return to Perth with passengers, ensuring a comfortable journey.

The role is shared by one other driver with approximately 50/50 shifts for each one. You will work one weekend every two, weather permitting.

Balloon flights happen weather permitting. On average, we fly 5 days out of 7, so expect days when your shift is cancelled due to weather.

Requirements:
✔ Very early start—approximately 3 hours before sunrise.
✔ Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
✔ Availability for early mornings and weekends.
✔ Strong communication and teamwork skills.
✔ No prior experience needed—training is provided!
✔ Ideal for physically fit retirees or those with flexible working hours.

Position Details:
📆Seasonal contract from now till November, with the potential for ongoing work in future seasons.
⏳ Shifts are approximately 7.5 hours long.
💰 Fortnightly salary, with end-of-season bonus available
