SCIENCE TEACHING POSITION Year 7 to 12

Position available for an immediate start

A Full-time ongoing position has become available at the Australian International Academy of Education (Strathfield) in the Science faculty.

Applicants must be enthusiastic and passionate about teaching and demonstrate a genuine care for students.

The successful applicants will possess the relevant qualifications for the position and be currently registered or in the process of obtaining registration with the NESA.

Australian International Academy, Strathfield is a K-12 independent co-educational, International Baccalaureate (IB) World school in the inner west area of Sydney. Essential Criteria for this Teaching Position

Ability to deliver engaging, syllabus-aligned (NESA) Science lessons for mixed-ability classes

Demonstrated capacity in effective classroom management

Be passionate about teaching, bringing a range of academic expertise and life experiences to the classroom

Capacity and willingness to differentiate instruction to support diverse learners, including EAL/D and high-potential students

Assist with the development and sharing of teaching materials

Maintain a positive environment in the classroom which is respectful of all present and fosters student learning

Participate in the Academy’s professional development activities in and out of school hours

Participate in the Academy’s extra-curricular and co-curricular programs as required.

Key Selection Criteria:

Have current accreditation with the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)

Valid Working with Children Check

Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
