About the role

As a Field Service Technician at Porter Equipment Australia Pty Ltd, you will play a crucial role in servicing and maintaining heavy earthmoving and crushing and screening equipment across the Southeast QLD & Northern NSW region. This fulltime position involves working on-site at customer locations to diagnose, repair and troubleshoot a variety of machinery and equipment.

What you'll be doing

• Perform preventative maintenance and servicing of earthmoving equipment such as excavators, loaders, and dozers and a range of Hire equipment
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on a wide range of machinery
• Provide technical support and advice to customers on the operation and maintenance of their equipment
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of all work completed
• Ensure work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all relevant regulations and procedures

What we're looking for

• Formal qualifications in automotive or heavy vehicle mechanics, or a relevant engineering discipline
• Extensive hands-on experience servicing and repairing earthmoving and construction equipment
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills to identify and resolve complex technical issues
• Excellent communication abilities to liaise with customers and provide technical guidance
• A keen attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship
• A current driver's licence and the ability to travel to customer sites as required
