Position

Unicorn Transport Equipment is currently looking for a committed, experienced, energetic person to assist managing our warehouse and storage facility across all three of our buildings.

Role

The role as a store person at Unicorn requires monitoring and controlling the flow of goods into and out of the storage facility. You’ll be expected to assist other employees with internal part picking and restocking of shelves.

You will also be expected to check goods on arrival and before despatch, ensuring they have the right products, in the correct quantity and that there is no damage.

Store person will use a forklift to assist in loading and unloading trucks and moving goods around the warehouse for storage. They also record when goods arrived and their exact location in the warehouse.

Tasks and duties

Unloading goods, opening packages, and removing contents

Receiving and scanning goods and checking for discrepancies between goods and invoices against orders.

Inspecting for damage.

Moving goods around a store.

Stocking shelves.

Stacking bulky goods safely.

Picking goods from shelves and recording their movements.

Packing and sending orders to customers.

Operating computers to obtain details of location and quantity of items in stock Data entry and paperwork.

Moving heavy pallets and goods using a forklift.

Perform cycle counting, stock checks and report on stock levels

Stock Take, when required.

Keep store clean and tidy

Ensure all tool/gear are tested and tagged

Ensure materials and equipment are ready for upcoming projects

Staff are aware of their daily tasks

Any other adhoc tasks related to stores

Skills and Qualifications

A current forklift ticket license

A positive can-do attitude and be a team player.

High energy levels and physical fitness, as the role requires being on your feet throughout the day.

Good time management and task prioritisation skills.

The ability to work both individually and be part of a team.

Hard working and willingness to work additional hours to ensure jobs are completed on time.

Strong focus on general safety standards and work methods.
