About us:
Rockhampton Mental Health Service Inpatient Unit, Older Persons Inpatient Unit, Acute Care Team, Consultation Liaison Psychiatry Services and Child and Youth Mental Health Services are located on the campus of Rockhampton Hospital. The Rockhampton Mental Health Community Services Team, Alcohol and Other Drugs Services, Indigenous Mental Health Services, Prison Mental Health Services (PMHS), Forensic Mental Health Services (FMHS) and Court Liaison Services are located in the Central Business District (CBD) of Rockhampton.
The hub is at Rockhampton and includes community services at Capricorn Coast Hospital, Gladstone, Biloela, Emerald, Theodore and Moura Hospitals; Blackwater Multipurpose Health Service, Woorabinda Multipurpose Health Service and Outreach Clinic; Gemfields Outreach Clinic.
About the role:
Provide high quality Psychiatry services to consumers of the Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Service and provide clinical leadership for the Mental Health clinical team.
The position may also be required to provide services to: Gladstone, Biloela, Blackwater, Emerald and Moura Hospitals; Woorabinda Health Service and Outreach Clinic; Gemfields Outreach Clinic; Capricorn Coast Hospital and Health Service and Outreach Clinic and the associated Mental Health clinics.
Candidates with an interest in and/or certification or endorsement in sub speciality areas like addiction, forensic psychiatry, CL psychiatry can also apply.
The provision of services for Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service is provided as one service, across multiple sites. To meet service needs the Specialist may be required to provide clinical services at any facility within the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service, in line with the clinical services capability of the that facility.
About you:
- MBBS or equivalent eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Registration or eligibility for registration as a Specialist in Psychiatry with the Australian Health Practitioner Agency (AHPRA). In general, this will require Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP).
- The position requires a candidate with a solid background in psychiatric practice. The successful candidate will also demonstrate extensive skills in facilitating effective mental health care across the continuum of adult psychiatry.
- Enrolment and maintenance of ongoing CME program with the appropriate bodies.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $528,432 p.a. is comprised of:
- A salary rate between $251,527 - $266,677 p.a. (L25-L27)
- A salary rate between $210,332 - $244,313 p.a. (L18-L24)
- 75% employer superannuation contribution
