As the OSHC Coordinator at Star of the Sea Outside School Hours Care in beautiful Cleveland, you’ll step into a role that’s more than just a job—it’s an opportunity to make a real difference.
Our service, located in a welcoming school environment in the heart of Cleveland, is licensed for up to 45 children and operates from a dedicated space within the school grounds. The program includes active play through sports like soccer, handball, and basketball, as well as creative activities such as arts and crafts.
This position is initially a 6-month parental leave cover, with potential for further opportunities within the organisation once the leave period ends. The role involves Monday to Friday hours (including split shifts) and between 32 to 36 hours per week.
You won’t be alone in this journey. You’ll be supported by a dedicated team of Educators and a committed management team, ensuring you have all the resources you need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the delivery of a high quality, inclusive and educational program.
- Manage day to day operations of the service including staffing, administration and financial management tasks.
- Provide children with a safe, secure, welcoming and nurturing environment.
- Work collaboratively within an established team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families.
- Promote the service within the local community in accordance with the Vision, Mission and Values of Catholic Early EdCare.
Requirements of the Role:
- Diploma in Children Services or equivalent as per ACECQA guidelines.
- Previous childcare service management experience.
- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), First Aid, CPR, Asthma/Anaphylaxis.
- Consent to being the Nominated Supervisor.
- Strong understanding of Childcare legislation, including National Quality Framework, Standards, and My Time Our Place.
- Proficient with childcare management software (Xplor preferred).
- Demonstrated leadership skills for team development.
