We are looking for a full-time Software Engineer who possesses the willingness and skills to understand and reconcile business goals and technical security requirements.

Salary : $77,000 + Super

To be considered, you must possess the following skills and attributes:

Write and plan IT security policy and procedure including IT security control, IT security education, IT security data recovery and IT risk management according to ISO/IEC 27033-1:2015 standard

Regularly hold and provide security awareness training for our staff

Threats and malware prevention and detection analysis by capturing network and traffic logs from Wireshark on layer 2 and layer 3 devices and running reports

Regular data back-up to external cloud server follow back-up and recovery policy for master data files

Data classification design by splitting into drives and create credential stores for several sectors

Design network structure and configure layer 2 and 3 router, switch and SSID planning

Manage and host external and internal email accounts and mail server setup

Internal and external vulnerability prevention and protection with daily trouble shooting on hardware and software, e.g. End point firewall installation on staff devices, and upgrade applications

Roles and Responsibilities:

Meeting business stakeholders and understanding their requirements related to security

Preparing technical specification documents

Using software development methodologies to create and propose appropriate ICT solution that meets the security requirements of business

Translate business requirements into technical specifications

Analyzing existing ICT infrastructure and understanding business process to recommend upgrades to ensure optimum business performance

Manage and administer organization’s ICT security policy & procedures to ensure preventive & recovery strategies are in place to minimize the risk of internal and external security threats.

Designing and maintaining database architecture, data structures, tables, dictionaries and naming conventions to ensure the accuracy and completeness of all data master files.

Performing the operational establishment and preventive maintenance of backups, recovery procedures, and enforcing security and integrity controls

Coordinating with the development team to ensure timely delivery of the project or upgrades

Testing developed solution, making sure its compatibility with existing system before integration

Conducting training as required

Implementing and administering database documentation, guidelines, policies and procedures.

Running IT tools implementation project under supervision of direct manager

Accepting responsibility for the processes, procedures and operational management associated with system security and disaster recovery planning.

Liaising with security vendors, suppliers, service providers and external resources; analyzing, recommending, installing and maintaining software security applications; and monitoring contractual obligations, performance delivery and service level agreements.

Preparing and maintaining documentation, policies and instructions, and recording and detailing operational procedures and system logs.

Skill/Qualification and Experience required for the position:

AQF Associate Degree, bachelor or above

Knowledge in undertaking responsibilities of an ICT Security Specialist

Able to work with both internal staff and external third parties effectively

Good knowledge of IT security control, IT security education, IT security data recovery and IT risk management

Proficient in Windows and Mac platforms
