Join Our School Community – Make a Daily Difference!
Oxley State School is a vibrant, community-focused school with just over 350 students. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Tuckshop Convenor to lead the next chapter of our revitalised tuckshop.
After a successful reopening in Term 4, 2024, and achieving a 5 green apple rating from the Queensland Association of School Tuckshops (QAST), we’re now ready to expand our service beyond Fridays. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape a growing food service, contribute to student wellbeing, and work closely with our engaged school community.
About the Role
This is a paid part-time position employed by the Oxley State School Parents and Citizens Association. The role is flexible, with 10–15 hours per week across 1–2 weekdays. The additional service day is negotiable based on your availability and the school’s needs.

Ensure Safety Standards: Maintain hygiene and food safety practices in line with health regulations and workplace standards.
Team Support and Leadership: Supervise and guide volunteers to foster a safe, supportive, and efficient tuckshop environment.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
Experienced and organised, with a background in tuckshops, cafés, or similar food service roles.
Self-motivated and able to take initiative in running day-to-day operations.
Passionate about healthy food, with an understanding of the Smart Choices program and school nutrition guidelines.
Essential Requirements
A valid Working with Children Check (Blue Card) in accordance with Queensland legislation.
A Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
Why Join Us?
This is a rewarding opportunity to play a meaningful role in a welcoming and supportive school community. You’ll be empowered to shape the tuckshop service, build positive relationships, and contribute to student wellbeing through nutritious food.
