Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated composite technician to manufacture a broad range of components, using various composite techniques, including: prepreg, wet-lay, vacuum bagging, infusion, etc - and various materials, including carbon fibre, aramid, fibreglass etc. The ideal candidate will possess a strong history in either Defence, aerospace or relevant industry of composite manufacture, exhibit a strong quality focus, and have the ability to drive efficiency in their workload in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Produce high-quality and conforming products.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet production targets and maintain quality standards.

Assist in daily tasks to monitor inventory levels within department and coordinate with the production manager and team leads to ensure availability of materials and equipment.

Identify areas for improvement and suggest solutions.

Contribute to a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement within the team.

Favourable Qualifications and Skills:
- This position doesn't necessarily require any of the below, and we will consider transferable skills from other industries / trades

Experience in a relevant role, preferably in Defence/aerospace industries or similar.

Strong knowledge of composite processes/products.

Able to follow a quality management system to maintain conforming product.

Problem-solving mindset.

Relevant qualifications in composite manufacture or related.

Technical data / drawing interpretation.

Additional Information:

This position may require the ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Security Clearance due to the sensitive nature of the work involved.
