Protech is currently seeking a Process Technician - Leading Hand to join our client — a growing, ASX-listed gold producer and development company. Operating both established and emerging assets, our client is actively expanding their footprint at a key gold project located in Western Australia’s Eastern Goldfields. This position is offered on a FIFO basis with a rotating roster: 8 days on / 6 days off (dayshift), followed by 7 days on / 7 days off (nightshift).

ABOUT THE ROLE:

• Temp to Perm
• 12-hour days / FIFO 8:6 (Days), 7:7 (Nights) from Perth

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reporting to Process Supervisor
• Ensure that all activities are carried out to the highest standards of safety and compliant to current Company policies and workplace safety and environmental regulations
• Conduct pre-start meetings as required
• Monitor, control and operate processing circuits of the processing plant, including multi-stage crushing circuits, grinding, CIL, gravity and electro-winning circuits
• Train entry level and inexperienced operators
• Assist the Process Supervisor in the supervision of process plant technicians and the coordination of work activities
• Carry out data collection and maintain accurate data entry logs
• Establish effective working relationships with metallurgy and maintenance personnel to achieve high plant reliability and production targets
• Conduct vehicle / mobile machinery pre-start checks and inspections, complete and submit accurate documentation accurately and in a timely manner

TICKETS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• 5 years Previous gold process plant operator and gold room experience
• Experience and competency in all stages of the process plant circuit.
• Be a team player with a positive attitude to work and life
• Minimum of a full WA manual driver’s license Class “C”
• Bridge and gantry cranes

• Certificate - Work at Height
• First Aid & CPR desirable
