ABOUT THE ROLE
Role Purpose
As our Aboriginal Carer Engagement Support Consultant, you will be responsible for working closely with carers to assess their needs and provide support to ensure the wellbeing of both the carer and the young people they are caring for. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans, provide referrals to support services, and advocate for carers' rights.
As Aboriginal Carer Engagement Support Consultant in PSP, Goodradigbee your key responsibilities include:
Conducting assessments to determine carers' needs
Providing information and education on available services
Empowering carers to access appropriate support.
Maintaining accurate records
Participating in team meetings and training sessions
Staying up-to-date with relevant legislation and policies.
Reporting line
This role reports to the Manager PSP
Essential requirements
Current NSW drivers’ licence
Comply with NSW Working with Children Check and National Police History Check requirements.
Computer literacy including a sound level of competency with Microsoft Office platforms and client management systems.
Bachelor qualification in a social work, social sciences, or equivalent industry experience.
Even Better
Experience in working in not-for-profit sector.
Experience in working in services for children, youth, and their families.
