Ventia, with its long-standing and successful relationship with Defence, is seeking an experienced Grounds Attendant Team Leader to lead and manage the Grounds Maintenance services at RAAF Base Darwin. This is a fantastic ongoing full-time position within the Lands Management Team, offering opportunities to step up into a leadership role while playing a vital part in the continued success of our operations.

• Key Responsibilities:
  Conduct job safety checks before work begins and lead tool box talks to ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Oversee the daily scheduling and activities of the Lands Management team, ensuring all tasks are completed to a high standard.
• Service equipment before use, and operate and maintain machinery in line with operator manuals and maintenance schedules.
• Maintain and upkeep gardens and lawns as per directives, and support general labouring tasks in grounds, building, and plumbing areas.
• Regularly clean vehicles, machinery, and tools used during service delivery to ensure top performance.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role/environment.
• Computer literacy is essential.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with team members.
• Hold a valid Australian Driver's Licence.
• Experience with Mobile Plant/Tractors is highly desirable.
• You must be an Australian Citizen and have the ability to maintain a Defence clearance in order to be eligible for these positions.
