As a Disability Support Worker at Harmony Support Australia, you will play a vital role in enriching the lives of individuals living with disabilities. This casual position is based in Brisbane South West (Springfield, Redbank Plains, Ripley, Ipswich and surrounding suburbs), and involves providing compassionate, person-centred care and support to help our clients achieve their goals and enhance their independence.

What you'll be doing

Assisting clients with their daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks

Facilitating social and recreational activities to promote community engagement and improve overall wellbeing

Advocating for clients and collaborating with their support networks to ensure their needs are met

Maintaining accurate records and documentation to support client care

Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to ensure the highest standards of service

What we're looking for

A passion for making a positive difference in the lives of people with disabilities

Previous experience in a similar role, such as a disability support worker or personal care assistant

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients

A caring, patient, and empathetic nature, with a commitment to person-centred care

The ability to work independently, as well as part of a collaborative team

Relevant qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent
