Family owned port logistics business needs extra staff ASAP ! Based in O'Connor.

Due to an increase in our work turnover, we have an opportunity for a HC/MC driver / semi trailer and sideloader operator to join our small and industrious team.

About the role

We are currently seeking HC / MC Drivers with Sideloader experience preferred

Your day will consist of driving and operating a semi trailer / sideloader between Fremantle wharf and container depots, our O'Connor depot and to various client locations throughout Perth metro.

To be considered you must have or be able to obtain the following:

Current Commercial Drivers Medical (or be able to pass one immediately)

Drug and Alcohol Test (or be able to pass one immediately)

Current Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) with access to DP World and Patrick terminals in Fremantle

Current Australian HC/MC Licence with excellent driving history

Excellent work ethic

Basic mechanical knowledge - undertake vehicle pre-start checks

Own reliable transport

Ability to work well with others and manage workload independently

This role requires the applicant to have a satisfactory level of English reading and writing skills

Evidence of having the right to work in Australia.

Good knowledge of Perth metro area

Own smart phone required with internet access

Previous Sideloader experience is a bonus

Benefits and perks

Typically start times vary from 5.00-6.00am and extend to 10 hour day.

(Minimum 38 hour working week) Monday to Friday, Occasional weekend work

Weekly pay and good rate for the right person

Skills and experience

Ideally you will have minimum 2 years HC/MC experience. Forklift licence and sideloader experience is advantageous but not essential. We prefer applicant to have good knowledge of Perth metro area, and have a "can do" attitude.
