Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute internal audit engagements for public sector clients, addressing operational, strategic, compliance, and financial risks.
• Develop and implement internal audit plans, conduct fieldwork, test internal controls, and prepare detailed reports.
• Manage multiple client engagements, ensuring high-quality service delivery within the governance, risk, and compliance space.
• Collaborate with both national and local teams, mentoring junior colleagues and fostering a strong team culture across various sectors.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying risks, enhancing controls, and improving business processes.
• Take ownership of project delivery, contribute to service development, and provide technical leadership while presenting insights to senior stakeholders.

What you'll need to succeed:

• Proven experience in internal audit and risk management (GRC), with a track record of leading audit engagements or programs, ideally within the public sector/government entity/banking industry or professional services.
• A bachelor’s degree, with additional professional certifications (e.g., CIA, RMIA, CISA) being highly valued.
• Strong understanding of internal control frameworks, risk assessments, risk management principles, and internal audit methodologies.
• Skilled in leadership and project management, effectively overseeing internal audit engagements while coordinating with client teams and stakeholders
• Strong stakeholder and communication skills
