This is a Recruitment Pool for Permanent Full Time, Permanent Part Time, Fixed Term Full Time, Fixed Term Part Time and Casual appointments. Fixed Term and Casual appointments will be made with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.
Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur until 31 August 2026.
What is our Hospital Service Assistant role?
This position provides timely physical assistance to patients and assists other members of the multidisciplinary team under the direction of the Registered Nurse. This includes, but is not limited to, the safe transport of patients between wards/departments and within the operating suite in beds; assistance with transferring and re-positioning patients in the theatre suites; transportation of specimens from theatres to pathology, keeping the general Perioperative Services areas clean and tidy and ensuring basic equipment and stock are always available.
This role reports to the Patient Support Services Supervisor.

Eligibility to Apply: Australian citizenship or permanent residency is an essential requirement for applicants to be considered for permanent positions in the public sector. To be eligible for a fixed term appointment you must have documentary evidence of your entitlement to live and work in Australia for the period of the contract.
