At Horizon Health (part of Next Practice), We are reimagining the traditional medicinal cannabis prescriber – we are agnostic and part of an AGPAL accredited medical facility – so uphold the highest professional standards.

Horizon Health are looking for a medicinal cannabis prescriber of exceptional quality. We are Independent and are part of a fully multidiciplinary medical offering, with an experienced medical leadership team who have been involved in the prescribing, development and clinical research into medicinal cannabis since it’s medical legalisation in Australia.

Imagine being a patient of a clinic where you feel you are taking the best step forward for your health from the moment you first make contact.

You are greeted on the phone by a friendly team member, your Patient Advocate, who provides you with your onboarding questionnaire. This is to ensure you get the best possible personalised care during your medicinal cannabis appointments.

Our amazing medicinal cannabis nurse then takes you through a pre consultation or a follow up consultation.

You are offered a service that is medicine agnostic, supportive, and highly informative.

A New Kind of Care

We are transforming the Medicinal Cannabis experience for patients and therefore we are looking for an experienced Medicinal Cannabis prescriber to help shape this exciting new role of all round patient care.

We are Independent. Our clinic team and patients are not restricted to certain medicinal cannabis brands or medications and dispensing is done by external pharmacies. Thich means we can truly provide them with the most effective and cost-efficient medications that they need – the way it should be.

So, what are the core responsibilities?

We are looking for a special team member who is invested in going above and beyond by delivering patient care that aligns with our culture and values of creating centres of excellence in medicinal cannabis.

The core purpose of your role is to ensure the patient is supported throughout their journey with Horizon Health. You need to balance your clinical knowledge and passion for patient centric care with a focus on health outcomes.

Core responsibilities:

• Conducting Medicinal Cannabis patient consults
• Promote health and preventative care
• Supporting our amazing and experienced MC team
• General liaising with the multidisciplinary clinical team

This position allows you to work completely from home. Therefore, you must have a quiet and uninterrupted desk to work from and a stable internet connection.

• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Current professional indemnity insurance.
• VR Preferred, but not essential
• Be an advocate for medicinal cannabis treatment & symptom management.
• Able to navigate basic technology and telehealth communications.
• Must have at least 6 months Medicinal Cannabis experience
