About the role

This part-time FDC Coordinator/Education Leader role within the FLYING START FAMILY DAY CARE SCHEME PTY LTD' in Fairfield, NSW offers the chance to play a vital part in providing high-quality early childhood education and care. You will be responsible for supporting and mentoring a team of Family Day Care Educators, ensuring they deliver exceptional care and education aligned with the National Quality Framework.

What you'll be doing

Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Family Day Care Scheme, including roster management, educator support, and monitoring service delivery

Lead the development and implementation of educational programs that foster children's learning, development, and wellbeing

Mentor and support Family Day Care Educators, providing guidance, feedback, and professional development opportunities

Conduct regular service visits and assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

Collaborate with families to build strong partnerships and support children's individual needs

Maintain accurate records and prepare reports as required

You can work 3 to 5 days per week, 8 hours per day

What we're looking for

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field

Minimum 2 years' experience working in a similar Coordinator/Education Leader role within the early childhood sector

Excellent knowledge of the National Quality Framework, Early Years Learning Framework, and relevant legislation

Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills to effectively support and guide Educators

Demonstrated ability to create engaging educational programs and foster positive learning environments

Proficient in using digital tools and technology to support service delivery and record-keeping

Current First Aid, CPR, and Working with Children Check

Vietnamese/Urdu speaking is an advantage for this position, as many of our educators and families come from a Vietnamese background.
