About the position

Reporting to the Team Leader Signage, the Field Officer Signage is responsible for undertaking a range of operational activities pertaining to Council’s signage assets, in line with Council’s Capital Works and Operational programmes and team functionality. Key responsibilities include:

Undertake installation, repairs and maintenance of Traffic Control Devices to specified standards and in accordance with relevant Australian Standards.

Install signage and undertake associated tasks that support the delivery of Capital and Maintenance programs.

Respond to requests for the manufacturing, installation, repairs and/or maintenance to all signage assets within agreed service levels.

Manage data relating to asset condition and any works / inspections of Council’s signage assets.

You will be rostered on a 9-day fortnight schedule, optimising your work time while offering flexibility.

Field Officer Signage - Position Description

About you

The ideal candidate will have strong experience working in sign installation, manufacturing and assembly processes.

Strong experience in the repair and maintenance of signage assets.

Sound knowledge of relevant standards and legislation pertaining to signage and related processes.

You will also possess strong customer service skills to make sure your team delivers its work on time.

You will be an exceptional communicator, skilled in building positive relationships internally and externally, with a strong ability to positively influence others.

It is important that you are a great planner, able to prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlines.

You will also be someone who can take the lead and work independently to manage your work area.

The following are essential:

Current Class MR Driver's Licence.

Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) / Work Zone Traffic Management (WZTM).

Work Safely in the Construction Industry (White Card).

Dogging (DG) Ticket or willing to obtain.

Vehicle Loading Crane (under 10m tonne) or willing to obtain.

You must hold a current Working With Children's Check, or be willing to obtain one as part of the recruitment process.

You must be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical assessment.
