ABOUT US

Active Rehabilitation Physiotherapy is a private practice based at the Mater Private Hospital in South Brisbane. We service inpatients in the Mater Private Hospital Brisbane, Mater Centre for Neurosciences, Mater Private Hospital Springfield and Brisbane Private Hospitals, as well as outpatients in our on-site rooms at the Mater Medical Centre South Brisbane and our practices at Annerley and Highgate Hill.

You will join a team of over seventy physiotherapists who practice in the areas of medical, intensive care, surgical, cardiac, acute neurological, haematology/oncology, gerontology, vestibular, children’s continence, men’s and women’s health, orthopaedics, musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy. Physiotherapists within the team also provide services in extended scope areas of practice, including clinics in collaboration with some of Brisbane’s top Medical Specialists. Active continues to provide full-time clinical education for final year physiotherapy students and we actively engage in research in collaboration with University, Mater Research and medical partners.

YOUR NEW POSITION

We are looking for an experienced inpatient physiotherapist, for a predominantly Mater Private Hospital Brisbane inpatient caseload. Part-time applications with a minimum FTE of 0.5 will be considered, please indicate this and your FTE availability in your application. Throughout the year, experience will be offered across the range of medical, surgical and specialist wards. Opportunities may be available to coordinate inpatient work with musculoskeletal, neurological or vestibular outpatients, men’s and women’s health, children’s continence and other extended scope roles. If you have special interest and/or experience in these areas, please include this in your application.

Full-time and part-time positions are permanent roles and include participation in a weekend and public holiday roster. Positions will commence at a mutually agreeable date from July 2024.

THE PERSON

Inpatient Physiotherapist with at least 1 years inpatient experience

Positive, proactive and energetic

Enthusiastic and driven to achieve

High level interpersonal skills

Highly organised and intuitive

Experience working collaboratively in physiotherapy and multidisciplinary teams

High level oral and written communication skills

Experience and/or interest in providing clinical education will be highly regarded

SUPPORT AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

You will be supported by a highly qualified physiotherapy and administration team, an in-service program and assistance with continuing education. Training and career mentoring will be provided by experienced Physiotherapists and the Leadership Team. It is our philosophy to support and develop career pathways within the Practice, recognising individuals' strengths and interests.
