Founded in 2017, Axis Mineral Services Pty Ltd (‘Axis’) specialise in crushing & ore sorting services for all requirements in Mining, Milling, Processing and Civil applications. Axis are currently running crushing circuits, ROM Management and general site works operations across a number of projects in the Goldfields regions, within the Mining and Civil Construction sectors.

We have opportunities for an experienced MC Float Driver to join our rapidly growing business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:

Transporting freight and mobile plant in various trailer / dolly formations across the goldfields, with metro work required from time to time;

Loading & unloading various mobile plant, including wheeled and tracked plant such as excavators, mobile crushers, mobile screens, wheel loaders, etc.;

Competently coupling & uncoupling various trailers and dollys;

Complying Main Roads Heavy Vehicle Accreditation requirements at all times;

Adhering to safety standards including, fatigue management, site access requirements, main roads permit restrictions, load restraint and chain of responsibility requirements;

Daily prestart checks on vehicles and equipment;

Minor maintenance on truck & equipment; and

Maintaining high levels of housekeeping and cleanliness of vehicle.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

Live in Kalgoorlie or surrounding areas (preferred but not essential)

Current Multi-Combination (MC) Driver’s License (unrestricted)

Triple/Quad road train experience (essential)

Experienced operating 18 speed road ranger gearbox (essential)

Float experience (essential)

WA Fatigue management certificate

Load Restraint certificate

Experience operating Western Star constellation, highly desirable

Demonstrated ability to work safely

Good time management and work prioritisation skills

Ability to pass a pre-employment commercial drivers medical

Have or be able to obtain a National Police Check
