Canberra Health Services Division of Medicine provides a range of medical specialties and allied health services. A strong emphasis is placed across all sections on accessible and timely care, delivered to a high standard of safety and quality. Patient centred, multidisciplinary care is provided to acute stroke patients presenting to the Emergency Department or in inpatient areas through Canberra Hospital. Co-ordination of care is also facilitated for hyperacute therapies for patients referred from peripheral hospitals.
