Indigenous Hospitality Officer | Pinangba Services | Townsville
- Employment Term: Casual
- Location: Shalom Elders Village, Townsville
- Remuneration: $36.25 (Inclusive of Casual Loading) + 11.5% Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging
- Rosters: 7am - 2pm, 8am - 4pm, and 3.30pm - 7.30pm
We are seeking individuals who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander who are interested in pursuing a career as a Hospitality Officer. To perform this role, it is essential that the person is an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person. It is therefore a genuine occupational requirement under section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991.

We have an opportunity available for an energetic, passionate and highly capable Hospitality Officer to join the team at Shalom Elders Village. .
As an Hospitality Officer a key support role to the delivery of our services, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring business operations are run efficiently and our clients and residents receive an exceptional experience.
You will:
- Supporting senior hospitality staff members with daily operations which may include housekeeping and laundry services
- Preparing, cooking and delivering food in adherence with Australian food safety standards and dietary Requirements of our residents
- Being required to uphold impeccable hygiene standards.
- Prior hospitality experience in kitchen or cleaning
- Enthusiasm and strong self-motivation
- Great communication skills and excellent attention to detail
- Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies
