About the role

South West Healthcare's Intensive Care Unit is seeking a motivated, experienced, and highly skilled Registered Nurse to step into a leadership role as Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM). This is a dynamic opportunity to support and guide a dedicated team delivering high-quality care to a broad patient demographic—from neonates to the elderly.

This is an exciting opportunity to step into a leadership role within a growing Intensive Care Unit in the South West region, where you'll support a dedicated team and help cultivate a positive, professional work environment. In this role, you'll work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager to uphold clinical standards, ensure exceptional patient outcomes, manage resources, supervise staff, and maintain a positive and professional team environment.

Position overview

  • Full-time (80 hours per fortnight), On-going position
  • Warrnambool Campus
  • Associate Nurse Unit Manager Year 1 or Year 2
  • Salary Range: $115,538.8 - $119,428.4 pro rata, plus superannuation

What you bring

  • A Registered Nurse - holding a current Registration Certificate as required by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Relevant postgraduate/tertiary qualification in Intensive Care / Emergency Nursing
  • A minimum of five years post graduate nursing experience, with demonstrated excellent clinical assessment skills.
  • Demonstrated strong clinical, safety and professional standards within the Emergency environment, including patient centred care.
  • Demonstrated ability to serve as a role model, effectively solve problems, and provide strong supervision and support to staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate orally, electronically and in writing.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development of self and others.

Desirable

  • Relevant postgraduate/tertiary qualifications in Management
