This is an exciting opportunity to work for a leading earthmoving and civils company in Sydney.

The primary objective of this position is to provide on-site engineering services to assist in the achievement of organisational and project objective.

The Role

• Undertake all HSEQ responsibilities as identified for your role in the Project’s Management Plans and associated documents.
• Working with Site Foreman to oversee quality assurance
• As required, escalate potential and actual risks that may impact the safe, timely and cost-efficient delivery of activities under management.
• Manage quality production defined by method statements and ITP’s. Monitor construction progress to ensure acceptable quality of structures and finishes.
• Establish, measure and report daily productivities for assigned activities.
• Undertake cost controlling and estimating as required by Project Manager.
• Develop, monitor and report on programmes for elements of work as required by the Project Manager.
• Manage work teams in the field.
• Verify subcontractors’ claims and variations.
• Undertake procurement as required including use of ViewPoint and ensuring adherence to SWC governance requirements such as authority limits.
• Understand, comply and remain current with all company policies, procedures and compliance training as relevant to your role.
• Maintain up to date knowledge and application of, legislation, industry standards and technological innovations as relevant to your role.

About You:

• Bachelor of Civil Engineering
• A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
• Australian working rights.
• Have a sound understanding of earthworks / civil construction
