As a Trade Trainer or Mentor, you will inspire and educate our trade students by:

Leading engaging training sessions, sharing your practical knowledge and hands-on experience.

Providing guidance and mentorship to aspiring trade professionals.

Assisting in the development of comprehensive training materials, including lesson plans, presentations, and assessments.

Fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Working closely with the Training Team Leader (Trade) to implement effective and holistic programs, ensuring successful student outcomes.

You will work closely with our team of experienced trainers to deliver high quality training, assessment, and support to our students through face-to-face delivery.

Haven’t completed your Cert IV Training and Assessment? We want to invest in you! Join our mentor program to learn the ropes of accredited training delivery, while completing your Training and Assessment qualification - fully funded by us.

What you’ll bring to the table

Our Trainers are actively engaged in industry practice whilst teaching, giving students insight into current industry processes and trends.

To be successful in this role, you will also need to demonstrate:

Current Certificate III Engineering - Mechanical Trade (Fitting/Machining) 👷🏾‍♂️

12+ months experience using lathe and milling machines ⚙️

A knack for teaching and mentoring.

Training & Assessment qualification (or willingness to get it).

Ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Experience working in the Vocational Education and Training sector.

Strong computer skills and experience using Microsoft Suite programs and Office 365.

Experience delivering training to students with barriers to education and training will be highly regarded.
