Senior Project Controls Specialist Major Renewable Energy Project

Join a global engineering leader delivering one of Australia’s largest renewable energy infrastructure projects.

This is your opportunity to play a key role on a once-in-a-generation project that will shape the future of Australia’s energy market. Our client is a tier-1 contractor delivering the electro-mechanical (E&M) scope on a landmark pumped hydro development.

As a Senior Project Controls Specialist, you’ll take ownership of integrated cost and schedule control, working across international teams and disciplines to ensure best-practice project delivery.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the setup and implementation of robust cost control and schedule integration systems across a large, complex E&M delivery scope.
  • Manage forecasting, cost tracking, and variance analysis to ensure accurate financial control and reporting.
  • Drive alignment between planning and finance to produce integrated project controls reports and insights.
  • Support progress claims, subcontractor reporting, risk analysis, change management, and recovery strategies.
  • Mentor junior project controls professionals and help maintain high data integrity across teams.
  • Contribute to monthly reporting cycles and audits, and collaborate with global stakeholders in Europe and Asia.
  • Leverage tools including SAP, PRISM/EcoSys, Power BI, and Excel VBA to deliver clear, data-driven insights.

What You’ll Bring

  • 8–12+ years’ experience in project controls or senior cost control roles on large-scale infrastructure, energy, or industrial projects.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex project budgets and reporting in a high-value project environment.
  • Strong knowledge of cost and schedule integration, particularly within electrical and mechanical scopes.
  • Advanced skills in project control software and ERP systems.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work across diverse teams and time zones.

Why Apply?

  • Contribute to a major renewable energy infrastructure project that will transform Australia's energy landscape.
  • Work with a global team of experts on a technically challenging and rewarding scope.
  • Flexible working options: FIFO Monday to Thursday or full relocation support to site.
  • Competitive remuneration and long-term career opportunities.

Apply now to take the next step in your project controls career with a high-impact role on a nationally significant infrastructure program.
