TRANSAFE WA is looking for a dynamic and motivated Road Safety Education Officer/Driver to help deliver engaging road safety education through our one-of-a-kind mobile learning experience – iNSTRUCKTA!

About TRANSAFE WA

TRANSAFE WA is a not-for-profit industry initiative dedicated to promoting safer heavy vehicle operations and interactions on our roads. We deliver educational events and community outreach projects across the state, promoting road safety for all road users.

Our flagship project, iNSTRUCKTA!, is the first of its kind in WA – a fully customised, self-contained prime mover and semi-trailer that transforms into a state-of-the-art mobile education hub. It features cutting-edge, interactive learning technologies aimed at educating the public, especially future road users, on safely sharing the road with trucks.

About the Role

This unique role involves driving iNSTRUCKTA! to schools, community events, and public gatherings across Western Australia to deliver road safety education in a fun, engaging, and hands-on way.

Key Responsibilities

Safely driving iNSTRUCKTA! to scheduled events (includes weekend work with time off during the week)

Setting up and packing down the trailer, ensuring it's clean and event-ready

Facilitating the education experience using technology such as tablets and VR headsets (training provided)

Engaging with people of all ages and backgrounds in a professional and friendly manner

Representing TRANSAFE WA in line with our values and vision

Liaising with sponsors, stakeholders, and event organisers on-site

What We’re Looking For

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

A genuine interest in road safety and community engagement

Confidence working with a wide range of people, including children and diverse community groups

Willingness to learn and operate interactive technology (e.g., tablets, VR)

A self-starter with a flexible, proactive, and innovative mindset

Essential Requirements

HC Class Licence with a safe driving record

Current Police Clearance and Working with Children Check

Availability for regular regional travel and weekend work

Comfort in working independently while on the road – iNSTRUCKTA! includes its own accommodation, kitchen, and bathroom facilities
