Overview

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Storeperson to join our steel supplies team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in operating forklifts and overhead gantry cranes, and hold an HR licence (advantageous). The Storeperson will play a crucial role in efficiently picking and packing steel supplies to service our clients customers.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate forklifts and overhead gantry cranes to move and store steel supplies
• Perform regular inventory checks and ensure accurate stock levels
• Assist with order picking, packing, and dispatching of steel supplies
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Adhere to all workplace health and safety regulations and procedures

Qualifications

• Experience in operating forklifts and overhead gantry cranes
• HR or HC licence (advantageous)
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects
• Reliable and able to work effectively within a team
• Knowledge of steel products (preferred)

Day-to-day

• Operate forklifts and overhead gantry cranes to move and store steel supplies
• Conduct regular inventory checks and maintain accurate stock levels
• Assist with order picking, packing, and dispatching of steel supplies
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Adhere to workplace health and safety regulations and procedures
• Assist with deliveries (as required) as a driver or drivers off-sider
