The Role: Principal Engineer - Automation
The Principal Engineer, Automation is a strategic role that will be leading automation initiatives and driving innovation through tools such as AI, Power Platform, and Appian.
You will have an opportunity to shape the governance & security frameworks for low-code platforms working alongside the architects and partners.

Key responsibilities include:
- Low Code & Automation Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of solutions, ensuring quality design, governance, and collaboration with teams (Data, Security, Infrastructure) for seamless development, deployment, and support
- Stakeholder Relationship Management: Lead and develop relationships through clear communication, documentation, negotiation, and issue management to ensure successful solution delivery and outcomes
- Minimize Automation Impact: Mitigate risks to business continuity by resolving functional and technical incidents, coordinating with internal/external providers, and ensuring the protection of enterprise information and service reliability
- Continuous Automation Improvement: Develop strategies for monitoring, evaluating, and enhancing automation delivery through customer feedback, workshops, artifact creation, and risk mitigation
- Support Strategic Planning: Assist the Automation and Enabling Services Manager and client areas in creating and updating digital roadmaps and strategic objectives
Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated experience in leadership of end-to-end low code solution delivery in a large and complex enterprise environment
- Demonstrated technical experience with Power Platform, Appian, or similar low code platforms
- Proven ability to participate in design and architecture sessions, gathering and documenting business processes and requirements
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to conceptualise, establish and implement new initiatives and innovative solutions within a specified framework, in accordance with industry standards
- Strong interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders across all levels of the organisation
