Job Title: Contract Administrator – Fit Out
Location: Bondi Junction, NSW
Salary: $140k – $150k + Super
Employment Type: Full-Time Office-based
Reports To: Project Manager / Commercial Manager

THE COMPANY
Our client is a respected leader in Commercial Construction, Fit-out, and Refurbishment, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality projects across the commercial, hospitality, education, industrial, and health sectors nationwide.
As part of their ongoing expansion in NSW, they are seeking a skilled and motivated Contract Administrator – Fit Out to join their Bondi Junction team.

The Role
Reporting to the Construction Manager, you’ll lead fit-out and refurbishment projects valued between $1M – $10M from inception to handover. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of head contracts and subcontract administration across the full project lifecycle. You will play a pivotal role in supporting project delivery, with particular focus on commercial fit out project contracts, procurement, financial reporting, and relationship management.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on precision, values collaboration, and brings a solutions-focused mindset to every challenge.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Prepare and manage head contracts and subcontracts, including variations, payment schedules, progress claims, notices, extensions of time, and latent conditions;
  • Assist the Project Manager with contract negotiations and ensure subcontractor obligations are met;
  • Proactively identify and manage risks within contract terms;
  • Build and maintain effective communication with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal stakeholders;
  • Provide project delivery and scheduling support to the Project Manager;
  • Coordinate timely review and approval of subcontractor payment claims;
  • Support the Construction Manager and Estimator with cost tracking, budgeting, and forecasting;
  • Assist in project outsourcing and procurement during pre-construction phases.

About You

  • Experience in contract administration within commercial construction;
  • Industry experience across construction, design or related disciplines;
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Finance, Engineering, or similar;
  • Strong working knowledge of construction methodologies, contract law, and cost management;
  • A high level of organisation, with excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking;
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills;
  • The ability to build lasting relationships and collaborate effectively with all project stakeholders;
  • Experience with Procore or equivalent project management systems highly regarded
  • Proven success delivering projects in the $1M–$10M range
