The Role
Norwest Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering high quality patient care, to join our established nursing team. We are seeking an enthusiastic nurse who ideally has experience in working in a day infusion unit, however, we would be willing to train the right candidate.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Provide evidenced based nursing care
- IV cannulation and CVAD access
- Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team
- Ensure patient and staff safety
- Deliver education and support to patients in order to meet their health needs
The Day Infusion Unit
The Day Infusion Unit provides chemotherapy and intravenous infusions for patients with cancer and other chronic disease and disorders.
The centre has a dedicated focus to the provision of high quality, expert clinical care, nursing and guiding patients throughout their treatment journey.
What you'll need to succeed
Essential qualities:
- Current Registration with AHPRA - Registered Nurse
- Commitment to quality patient care
- Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Work well both independently and as part of a team
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills and a high degree of computer literacy.
- Working with Children Check (WWCC)
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience in the use of central venous access devices (CVAD's) and experience in cannulation
- Relevant experience demonstrating the appropriate competencies and skills for anti-neoplastic management

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF - NSW Nurses and Midwives' - Enterprise Agreement 2020 - 2024, a salary ranging from $35.46 - $49.79 per hour.
