We are currently recruiting a Heavy Diesel Mechanics for a fulltime and permanent role to work at our Dandenong South facility. Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the Mechanic would perform repair and maintenance services on trailers.

Key responsibilities:

• Servicing and repairing of trailer equipment;
• Diagnosing problems and servicing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems;
• Rebuilding and assembly of trailer components where required;
• Working on preventative maintenance and inspections;
• General housekeeping & manual handling tasks around the workshop;
• Ability to perform basic welding is valued

To succeed in this role you will have:

• Relevant trade qualification as a diesel mechanic
• Previous experience working on trailers
• Good communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision
• Excellent work ethic and reliability

As part of our recruitment process, you will be required to participate to a full pre-employment musculoskeletal assessment, audiometry assessment and instant drug and alcohol test.
