The Business

Impact North is an Aboriginal-controlled not-for-profit organization ​that works at the intersection of social enterprise and remote Indigenous business, driving positive change across Australia’s northern regions. Many Indigenous businesses in Northern Australia naturally function as social enterprises, creating impact through job creation and economic development in their communities. Through structured business programs, connected communities and coworking spaces, we empower entrepreneurs to turn their vision into reality. ​​ ​

To achieve our vision, we offer two key initiatives: the Business Builder Program, providing structured guidance and mentoring for entrepreneurs, and the Impact North Community, which creates spaces for connection, collaboration, and growth. Through these programs, we support entrepreneurs in transforming their visions into reality, driving positive change across Northern Australia's communities.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a proactive, people-focused Opportunities Coordinator to help our growing community of Indigenous social enterprises and purpose-led organisations thrive.

In this role, you’ll uncover valuable opportunities—like funding, partnerships, and business support—and connect them directly with the people who need them most. You’ll work closely with members, partners, and internal teams to deliver these through events, online platforms, and one-on-one engagement.

About You

The ideal candidate will be:

A connector at heart—curious, proactive, and always seeking ways to bring people and opportunities together

Enjoys digging into research, uncovering value, and sharing insights in clear, engaging ways

Confident in working with a diverse range of people, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander entrepreneurs and community leaders

Organised and tech-savvy, with experience using digital platforms to manage information and engagement

Thrives in a collaborative team environment but also capable of managing tasks independently and following through with attention to detail

Driven by purpose, inclusion, and community-led impact, with a desire for work that reflects these core values

Your Reward

Full-Time or Part Time, Contract position

Competitive salary, $80,000 - $90,000 p.a. + superannuation
