The Opportunity:

We’re seeking a skilled and safety-focused Switching Operator to deliver overhead and underground power projects. You'll play a key role in planning, executing, and completing switching and commissioning for vital electrical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and execute HV/LV switching in line with network and load demands

Develop and implement switching programs and isolation procedures

Coordinate with Network Controllers, field crews, and contractors

Ensure compliance with safety rules, permits, and hazard assessments

Support outage coordination and respond to faults efficiently

Maintain accurate records and assist in testing/commissioning of new works

What You’ll Bring:

Active Western Power HV/LV Switching Ticket

Proven experience in switching on distribution networks

Strong knowledge of Western Power’s switching and safety protocols

Solid understanding of electrical construction and distribution systems

Safety-first mindset with excellent communication and documentation skills
