Our client is a leading provider of engineering design solutions to the mining resources, maritime, rail and defence industries. As a result of ongoing and sustained growth, they are currently seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to assist their growing team based in the south-eastern suburbs of Perth.

The Role:
This role will see you working within the engineering team, with a strong focus on finite element analysis (FEA) to support the design and validation of custom structural equipment. Key responsibilities include:
- Manage design projects and product validation to ensure compliance with Australian engineering standards through analysis, testing, and documentation
- Provide mentorship and technical support to more junior engineering team members across both local and offshore operations, whilst promoting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
- Conduct structural analysis, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA), to assess strength, serviceability, and performance under static and dynamic mechanical loads, wind, thermal, and vibration conditions
- Coordinate with fabrication teams, internal departments, and external consultants to resolve design challenges, support project delivery, and contribute to scheduling, budgeting, and approval processes
- Keep clients well-informed on project updates and deliver high-quality guidance to ensure all work complies with relevant legislation, codes, and national standards
- Drive continuous improvement by enhancing quality, efficiency, and internal engineering standards while reducing production costs
- Align with and represent the business by embodying its ethos, delivering effective communication, managing projects with passion and precision, contributing to business development, and staying informed on industry advancements to drive continued success
About You:
To be successful in the position, you will require the following:
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical or Structural)
- At least 5 years + experience as an Engineer within Australian Fabrication / Manufacturing sector
- Proficiency with FEA (SpaceGASS and Strand7 advantageous)
- ANSYS and SolidWorks experience desirable
- Good interpersonal and report writing skills and proven technical supervision experience in a similar role
- Unrestricted working rights
